It is controlled by an app on your smartphone that allows you to schedule or stop/start cycles, as well as alter settings. It is also possible to pair the device to smart home devices such as Alexa or Google Assistant to control it by voice.

Shark RV1001AE IQ
This self-emptying robot that is budget-friendly does an okay job on hard floors and carpets with low pile. Its combo brush reaches into corners and edges, and it automatically increases suction when it detects carpet. It also does a good job of cleaning dirt off carpets in the middle of the pile. The IQ's compact footprint for docks and the self-emptying feature are both nice features. However, if you wish to change floor levels on the map or create no-go zones, you'll have to manually reset it in order to do this, which can be a bit of trouble.
The IQ app comes with advanced mapping and automated functions, however it isn't equipped with no-go zones. These are available only on iRobot robots. Its smart-pathing system allows for greater maneuverability and the high-pile feature of its carpet cleaning mode is effective however it can be caught on the tassels of the rug.
In our tests during our tests, the IQ was capable of handling pet hair well, clearing huge amounts of hair from floors with no flooring and fair amounts on medium-pile carpet. It was less efficient with shag carpets, where it had a hard time reaching dirt and dust embedded within the fibers. It was able navigate the legs of chairs, small spaces and even the base of an IKEA wooden step stool. It was a bit slower on floors with no flooring however it soon recovered speed and performed better than the other robots we tested.
The IQ is a better option over the iRobot Roomba 694 for most uses. It has a bigger dustbin and a longer battery lifespan, and is better in navigating around obstacles. It also comes with mopping attachments that can tackle sticky debris. The iRobot however, is better built, has fewer components that need maintenance or replacement, incurs less ongoing costs, and can even create virtual no go zones with its companion application. It is able to continue cleaning from where it left off even if the battery is out before it has finished. The iRobot is also controlled by voice, which can be a big plus for many users.
Eufy 11S
The eufy RoboVac 11S robot vacuum isn't one of the most advanced models, but it does offer great cleaning power at an affordable price. It's designed for budget-conscious buyers who don't require a complicated mapping system or an app to control the device. This robot can run for up to an hour and includes a remote, cleaning tool, AC power adapter, charging base and extra filters.
The 11S is slim and sleek, with an upper deck of tempered glass that is covered with plastic, which is finished to appear like brushed aluminum. It's a nice departure from Roomba, Samsung, and Neato designs that are more utilitarian and industrial.
The eufy11S did well in our tests at removing larger particles and fine dust from hard floors. It was unable to thoroughly clean medium and high-pile carpets. The device is also prone to smack into furniture and people that are in its path, but it's able to detect these obstacles using sensors. When it comes across them, it halts and emits a loud sound so you can manually guide it around the obstacle and get back to work.
The BoostIQ mode is another fantastic feature of the eufy11S. It lets you set the robot up to automatically adjust suction force based on the type of floor and the amount of dirt. The remote control makes it easy to direct the 11S to the desired area.
Single Room Mode is a great option for those with small furniture in the room you want to vacuum. The eufy is capable of spending up to 30 minutes cleaning the space it is assigned.
You can also choose Edge Cleaning, which reduces the amount of time spent in each area to 20 minutes for optimal battery life. If you select this option, the eufy will move in a spiral to clean edges and corners for a thorough clean.
Miele Complete C1
The Miele Complete C1 is an excellent mid-range canister robot vacuum and a top performer on carpet. Its performance on bare floors is also impressive. It is able to remove small particles like rice effortlessly, and it doesn't lose suction power even when its dirt bin gets full. Its air-sealed, allergy-friendly design snuff out allergens and read more keep your family healthy. It has an onboard HEPA filter and a self-emptying bin, so you don't have to buy additional filters or a separate vacuum bag.
It's not quite as powerful as more expensive models, but is still great for deep cleaning and fighting the toughest stains. Its two front cameras deliver live images to your smartphone, and it has one of the most effective obstacle avoidance systems we've seen. If you're willing a bit more it's worth it. Miele Complete C3 is an excellent all-round robot vacuum that performs better on carpet than the Classic C1. It performs better on all types of floors and is more solidly constructed and comes with a HEPA filter.
