The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a great option if you're looking to buy an affordable robot vacuum and mop. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but it lacks the features that make up its more expensive counterpart.
During testing it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium pile. It doesn't employ LIDAR, however, like cheaper models do to map your home.
iRobot Roomba s9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the most highly-rated robots. It offers impressive cleaning power and a variety of features, including the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. This robot can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest automated schedules to ensure you have a hands-free experience.
Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is in place, you can start automatic cleaning with a single button press. You can choose an overall clean, which prioritizes the removal of larger pieces of debris like rice and cereal. Or you can choose two mappings to ensure that the entire home is completely cleaned.
This robot vacuum performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as some other models and can clean up pet hair without much difficulty. It's not the best time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot claims it will get better with future models.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that focuses on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that has a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes that this will allow it to fit into furniture and walls. It's a nice change from the traditional hockey puck shape of the majority of robovacs. However, we found it to be incrementally better than circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also features superior filtration, which prevents tiny particles and allergens from circulating in your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the high price cost.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of a combination of sensors to keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. It can then clean your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundaries so that the robot knows which areas need extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it is about robots that combine mopping and vacuuming the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those found on higher-end models. The mopping system is better - its spinning pads scrub floors better than the vibrating pads.
The only drawback is that it lacks a second rubber brush for deeper cleaning, but it's an affordable cost to pay for if you want to get one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank of the robo-vac is bigger than most of its competitors. Filling it up only takes two or three times, even when you've got the most dirt.
In terms of the mopping device, I was impressed with its ability to scrub tough dirt from my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes that are less abrasive than the high-powered ones, create very little noise, which allows you to work or even watch TV without distraction. If it comes across a wall or furniture piece it gently bumps into it and then moves on.
What really makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely on its own, with no need for user intervention. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that automatically moves physical trash to the bin hidden in the background and also cleans and drys mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app will only alert you if something is wrong for example, the water tank being empty or a canceled vacuuming session due to an empty bin.
You can also create or combine actual rooms to alter the way Q Revo manages your home. That's a handy feature if you have multiple areas of the home with different flooring materials or if there's a lot of clutter that must be cleared out frequently, such as clothes, toys, and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, removing debris from both carpets and hardwoods on the first pass. It can also vacuum up wet spills however I would recommend cleaning them off with a cloth before sending the robot in.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a top-quality robot vacuum and mop and more. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum with powerful suction that cleans carpets and hard floors, plus the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough staining. It also comes with an auto-cleaning base station that automatically empties and washes the mop pads, keeping them free of germs and ready to use again. It also has a sensor system that detects obstacles more accurately which allows it to avoid falling on furniture and other objects.
The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version has a sleeker, more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite massive--it's nearly two feet tall and deep and weighs nearly four pounds--the robot itself and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.
This version is also more efficient than the X1, as it charges faster and can complete a cleaning of about 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a larger and more durable dustbin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that is functional even when you're not at home. It also comes with a smart routing feature that allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home, instead of following a predetermined route.
The Omni Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested, thanks to its mop pads rotating to scrub away tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent too and it increases suction when it senses carpet to ensure it's doing the job well. It also has a large battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as effective as anything we've seen in the market for a consumer robot.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality mop and robot vacuum that comes with a variety of convenience features you don't often see on robots in this price range. It can create detailed floor maps and identify different flooring types. It's also among the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. Although these features are nice to have however, they also put the L10s Ultra in the luxury category which could make it somewhat more expensive than the average homeowner require.
Designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish that's highlighted by mirror-plated silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper, which helps protect furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage while moving through the house. In the pane in the front is a second navigation technology in the form of sensors that help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the vacuum there is a single button that acts as an on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, while top rated robot vacuum clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The circular menu at the middle of the control panel lets you to select cleaning modes, schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons beneath the screen will open the app's settings menu where you can tweak how the L10s Ultra integrates with your home.
Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technology to help you map out your home. This helps the robot mop and vacuum efficiently without getting stuck. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or children.
The L10s Ultra is an efficient vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4 percent of debris from our test on hardwood floors and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice stains. Its mops are efficient, taking away 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our tile, wood, and carpet tests. It was not as effective in removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
